Non-accessible content

A portion of the content used on the website is generated by third-party sources. This content is accompanied by several accessibility issues that need to be addressed:

Payment Provider

  1. Images on some pages do not always have suitable image descriptions. Users of assistive technologies may not have access to information conveyed in images. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.1.1 (Non-text Content).
  2. The Payment Provider has some form controls may not be able to be navigated to by the keyboard. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.4.3 (Focus order).
  3. Some pages have poor colour contrast. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.4.3 and 1.4.6 (Use of Colour).
  4. Some non-text elements have insufficient colour contrast. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.4.11 (Non-text Contrast)
  5. When the page is set to reflow settings (1280px at 400% magnification) users are unable to view and interact with the content effectively. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.4.10 (Reflow).
  6. When users submit the form field with errors, the error handling is not sufficient to enable users to identify and rectify the errors effectively. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 4.1.3 (Status Messages).
  7. A couple of forms controls are not detectable by screen reader software - this fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value).
  8. The way the Payment Provider is displayed is not programmatically determinable some screen reader users. This means assistive technologies will not read the tables correctly. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships).

Cookie Manager

  1. Labels for interactive elements are non-descriptive. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.4.6 (Heading and labels)
  2. Interactive elements have no visible focus indicator. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.4.7 (Focus Visible)
  3. Interactive elements are not accessible by keyboard. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.1.1 and 2.1.3 (Keyboard)
  4. Couple of forms controls are not detectable by screen reader software - this fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value)
  5. The way the cookie manager is displayed is not programmatically determinable some screen reader users. This means assistive technologies will not read the tables correctly. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships).

Map

  1. The focus indicator fails to meet the minimum contrast ratio of 3:1 for non-text content. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.4.11 (Non-text Contrast)

The content that is not accessible and supplied by third parties will be gradually replaced with more accessible alternatives.

Disproportionate burden

At this time, we have not made any disproportionate burden claims.

How we tested this website

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines V2.1 level A and level AA to test how accessible www.lituktestbooking.co.uk is.

We tested the service based on a user's ability to complete standard registration and booking journeys. All parts of the chosen journeys were tested, including documents.

In August 2023, the Digital Accessibility Centre (DAC) conducted an audit of a representative booking and registration journey on www.lituktestbooking.co.uk, from which accessibility issues listed above were identified.

What we’re doing to improve Accessibility

Following the audit conducted by the DAC in August 2023, PSI are fixing content which fails to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard.

Preparation of this Accessibility statement

Third party controls which have Accessibility issues are being phased out and more Accessible alternatives introduced.
